This year is no exception -- as in almost every year since A/PGF's creation, we will be having a gathering which draws more members and friends than any other event -- July 4th Picnic-in-the-Park.    Yes, no other function thrills and excites as spending the day with good friends, great bodies, fabulous food and free soft drinks.

Yes, free soft drinks!  As a service to our members, A/PGF will provide a selection of soft drinks to quench our thirst as we partake of a veritable feast of foods.  This event is traditionally "potluck" with each person or group of people bringing what they can and sharing with other people at the picnic.  Please bring PREPARED FOOD (entrees preferred)....enough to feed 4 to 6 people. There's always lots and lots of food for everyone, as long as everyone brings "something".

A/PGF will also have games for those that can not get enough of the monthly "game night" - of which has become a very popular monthly event. 

Once again, we will gather in Griffith Park starting from 11 AM along Zoo Drive near Travel Town.  We are easy to find with our many colorful country flags flapping in the breeze around a large area jealously guarded usually by one or two brave souls who get there early.

Directions:  Get off the 134 freeway (E or W) at Forest Lawn and follow the signs to Travel Town/Griffith Park.  At the entrance to Travel Town, turn left and follow the road around and past the trains to our flags.  There is plenty of parking both along the road and in a (free) lot across from our gathering. 

This event is open to everyone.  Non-members are welcome to attend. 

So, bring your sunglasses, sun lotion and join your friends for a day of good food and socialization.
