Dr. Walter L. Williams, USC
professor, will speak at A/PGF's regular meeting, Sunday April
4th (3:00pm) about his recent research on homosexuality &
transgenderism in Thailand. His work there is focused in a
small town in Thailand's northeast. He will also discuss his
experiences speaking at Beijing University, Shanghai Medical
University and Seoul National University.
Walter is one of the earliest members of APGF [A/PLG] and has
spoken several times at our general meetings.
At the University of Southern California, he
holds three titles, Professor of Anthropology, Professor of
History, Professor of Gender Studies. He regularly teaches
GLBT Studies at USC. Presently, he is teaching a class in
transgender issues, the first such course to be taught in the
United States. |
