TOPIC:  Personal is Political

Come and see his new short film, Just, about two strangers who after having sex “discover that a casual hook-up is anything but,” and his views on monogamy and open relationships.

The 12-min film recently won the Top 5 Films at the 9th PlanetOut Short Movie Awards and will be celebrating its broadcast premiere on Logo mid-May. Just, along with his directorial debut Laundromat, will be screening at the 24th VC Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival on May 7th (program 25) and May 3rd (program 57) respectively.

Our Social/Potlucks are held at the West Hollywood's Plummer Park Community Center located at 7377 Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood.

This is a wonderful way to meet your friends for an afternoon of socializing.  Be sure to bring a friend with you.

This is a POTLUCK.  Those providing food, FREE, those that come empty handed $10.    Bring enough of food to feed several people.

As an actor, I made my screen debut with STILL, a short film that I also co-wrote and co-produced. After being screened in over 30 international film festivals, STILL is now distributed by Frameline Releasing.

Recipient of the 2006 East West Players Beulah Quo Acting Scholarship, I started performing as an intercollegiate debater and award-winning oratory speaker, before venturing as a spoken word artist. Under the direction of veteran stage performers Dan Kwong and Tim Miller, I eventually transitioned into the theater as a monologist. Since then, I can be seen in various independent shorts and TV commercials.

I am realizing my long-time dream to stage "XY" -- a solo play that I've been developing for years. Previous excerpt readings of the play have been conducted in various venues in California: Highways Theater, East West Players, The Village -- LA Gay and Lesbian Center, Theater of Note and Foothill Community College.

As a writer, I won the Script Development Competition at the 2006 Jakarta International Film Festival and awarded the Hubert Bals Fund sponsored by the Rotterdam International Film Festival for a feature-length screenplay "Miss Indonesia" (O/T: "Nona Indonesia"). My articles and columns have been featured on fridae.com and chopblock.com.

As a professional model,
I have appeared in national print ads -- most notably for Honda and Nokia, TV commercials, magazine editorials and runways for up-and-coming Los Angeles designers.

In the spirit of continuous evolution as an artist and enterpreneur, I am making my debut as a filmmaker -- directing and producing short films with collaboration partner David Maurice Gil. Since completing marketing intership at the East West Players and creative development internship at Ironpond (with producer Teddy Zee) in 2007, I plan to complete an original gay shorts collection with Gil, entitled "Strangers, Friends + Lovers."

Born in Indonesia and raised in Singapore, I am now based in Los Angeles,
where I recently earned my MBA at Loyola Marymount University and completed a filmmaking fellowship at the Film Independent’s signature diversity program Project:Involve, with Academy Award winner Chris Tashima as my mentor.
