Explore the Cosmos at Griffith Observatory

We are thrilled to extend an invitation for a captivating field trip to the Griffith Observatory on Saturday, March 30th. Join us for an evening of stargazing, planet exploration, and celestial wonders!


Date:                  Saturday, March 30th

Meetup Time:    6 PM

Meeting Point:  Greek Theater (Free Parking Available)


Schedule:


  • 6:00 PM: Arrive at the Greek Theater for Parking. We will then embark on a delightful 10-minute FREE bus ride to the Observatory.  Look for Rick and our group at the bus stop directly across the street from Greek Theater General Parking. 
  • 6:15 PM onwards: Explore the grounds of Griffith Observatory where we will have the incredible opportunity to observe Mars and Jupiter through their powerful telescopes. Admission to the grounds is free!
  • Planetarium Shows:
  • 6:45 PM: "Signs of Life" Planetarium Show (Award-Winning New Feature)
  • 7:45 PM: "Center of the Universe" Planetarium Show


Ticket Prices:  Please note that planetarium show tickets range from $8 to $10, and they are available for purchase on-site before the shows.


  • 8:15 PM: Following the mesmerizing shows, we will convene for a delicious dinner at Norms, a brand new diner located at Hollywood/Western. (Optional)


Flexibility: Please be aware that our plans are subject to change depending on weather conditions. If it's cloudy or overcast, we will need to cancel the trip for safety reasons.
