APAIT now offers a social support group for young adults, 18-29 years of age, every Thursday from 6 PM to 8 PM. Join us for food, art activities, meditation, music, and more.

HIV Testing

 

Knowing your HIV status is the first step to keeping yourself and your community healthy. APAIT offers free, confidential, and rapid HIV tests with results delivered in less than 20 minutes.

 

Partner and Family Notification

 

We understand it can be difficult to tell someone about your HIV status. Our counselors will be able to give you options on how to inform partners and family members about your status.

 

James Sakakura Family Room

 

A social support group that meets every Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. to 2 p.m. Come and enjoy a light lunch, and learn how to live well and thrive with HIV/AIDS.

 

Patient Navigation

 

Our patient navigators serve as your guide to our health care system. Our patient navigators can provide you with consultations and health information, assess your eligibility for public health coverage and other benefits programs, assist you with the application process, schedule appointments with your providers, obtain translation and interpretation services, help plan next steps, and follow up with pending application statuses and/or upcoming appointments.

 

Behavioral Health Services

 

Living with HIV/AIDS can be difficult. Our trained and licensed mental health professionals provide short-term or sustained therapeutic interventions if you experience acute and/or ongoing mental health disorders.

 

Housing Case Management

 

Our housing case managers work through Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) to assist you with housing programs such as: Short Term Rent, Mortgage, and Utilities (STRMU), Permanent Housing Placement (PHP), and Section 8. We can also help with referrals for emergency shelters, food pantries, and other community resources
